You appear in a list with no sources
The answer names three firms and cites none. We record the mention. We do not pretend that list is a citation sample. Keyword targeting the category in titles is not an attach.
Brand Mention Optimization
Assistants name brands without attaching a URL, or they attach a URL that is not yours. We find those mentions. We decide whether the name should be attributed, corrected, or left. We watch the same questions. We do not treat this as a newsroom. We do not treat this as making a claim citable. We do not treat this as one chat product.
Position
A buyer asks an assistant which firms do the work. Your name shows up in a list. There is no source. Or there is a source that belongs to a reseller, a directory, or a competitor who described you. Search intent still matters: the question has to be one you would accept as about you. This page owns unlinked and wrongly attached mentions. It does not earn new press. It does not write the cite object. It does not freeze the official spoken string.
AI citation optimization owns the cite object: claim, source URL, sample attach. Use this page when the name appears and nothing honest is attached. Use that page when you can name the sentence you want attributed.
Open AI citation optimizationDigital PR owns pitches and articles you still need. We may use an existing piece to attribute a mention. We will not run outreach from this page.
Open Digital PRLLM brand visibility owns how assistants say the official name and aliases. A retired mark that is still attributed is that job. A correct name with no source is this job.
Open LLM brand visibilityLink building owns links you can fetch on public pages. An unlinked name inside a generated answer is not a backlink. Open that page for the link graph. Open this page for assistant mentions.
Open link buildingAI citation optimization makes a claim eligible to be attributed to a URL you control. Digital PR owns coverage you do not yet have. LLM brand visibility checks retired names and aliases in the prose. Link building owns acquired links on the web. This desk starts after the name already appears and the attach is missing or wrong.
We will not sell a mention quota. We will not treat a backlink report as this sample. We will not pitch journalists from this URL. If the name never appears, the job may be coverage, identity, or a bind. If the name appears and a claim needs a fetchable sentence, hand that sentence to citation work.
When this fits
This page fits when assistants already say the brand and the attach is missing or wrong. If you needed a cite object, a newsroom, a name-line pass, or a link campaign, start there.
The answer names three firms and cites none. We record the mention. We do not pretend that list is a citation sample. Keyword targeting the category in titles is not an attach.
The name is yours. The URL is not. Topical relevance of that directory is not a reason to leave it. We name whether to correct, live with it, or make a claim on a URL you control.
A namesake or a scraped profile stole the footnote. Semantic keywords on your About page will not reclaim it. We mark the wrong attach and hand a fusion to AI entity optimization if the facts mixed.
We will say so. Finding unlinked names can still be useful. A newsroom is not a deliverable here. If the unknown is a statistic you want cited, that is AI citation optimization.
Process
Four jobs, in that order. Each job produces a note the mention desk can keep. We do not start a link campaign in the last job. The point is unlinked names, not a Digital PR calendar.
We run a small set of questions buyers ask. We record every time the brand string appears. Search intent has to match a question you accept. A vanity prompt that forces the name is not a find.
Outcome A dated mention log: question, string, attach or none.
We mark each row: no URL, your URL, rival URL, directory, or nonsense. Topical relevance of a third-party page is not automatic credit. Keyword density on that page is not an attribution score.
Outcome A label table the team can argue from.
We write the next honest move: correct a wrong attach by changing a page you control, hand a claim to citation work, hand missing coverage to Digital PR, or leave the mention as observation. We do not buy a mention.
Outcome A next-move note per row, including rows we will not chase.
We rerun the same questions. Name-line changes stay on the brand page. Cite eligibility stays on citation work. This rerun is whether unlinked rows gained an attach, lost the name, or kept the wrong URL.
Outcome A rerun date and the same question list, not a mention quota.
Deliverables
You leave with a mention log, a label table, a next-move note, and a rerun date. You do not leave with a newsroom, a link report, or a ranking date.
Questions, dates, and whether the brand string appeared. Vanity prompts are excluded. Last quarter's social listening export is not this log.
No URL, your URL, rival, directory, or nonsense. Each row has a date.
URLs that currently steal the footnote. Mixing those into a link-building sheet is named as a mistake.
What we will change, what we will hand off, and what we will only watch. A mention shopping list is not a next-move note.
When to rerun the same questions. A weekly mention score is not a rerun. A promise of Overview placement is not a rerun.
Benefits
You stop guessing whether assistants cite you. You see the empty attach.
Directories and resellers stop hiding inside a blended visibility score.
Cite objects, coverage, and name-line work stop sharing one ticket.
Someone reruns the log. Nobody pretends a backlink package cleaned assistant mentions.
Methodology
This works when someone owns the buyer questions, and someone can change pages that should carry an attach. If both are missing, we are collecting name drops. We are not attributing mentions.
We start with the official name, the question list, and a person who can edit a source URL. If any of those is missing, we name it first.
We sample answers. We do not trust a social listening dashboard as the mention log. Does this paragraph name you? Is a URL attached? Is that URL yours?
You may rename the roles below. You may not leave the question list implied. An implied prompt set is how vanity searches inflate the log.
First working session
The first hour is one answer that names you and cites nothing, or cites the wrong page. It is not a tour of PR tools.
We paste one buyer question. We record the name and the attach. If the attach is empty or wrong, that is the job. If a claim needs attributing, that is AI citation optimization. If you need new coverage, that is Digital PR. If the spoken string is the issue, that is LLM brand visibility. If acquired links are the issue, that is link building.
Then we log two more questions. We fill the label table. The extra or missing attaches are usually the job. A link graph export is not evidence of assistant mentions.
We leave with a first mention log or a stop. A log names the question, the attach, and who owns the next move. A stop names what is missing: a question list, a job that is actually a cite object, or a job that is actually PR. Both are outcomes. A monitoring shopping list is not.
AI search
Seeing empty attaches can help later work. This page cannot sell AI Overviews, a mention quota, or LLM visibility as a blended score.
People ask whether cleaning unlinked names will land the brand in Google AI Overviews (AIO). If assistants name you with nothing to fetch, generative search has a noun and no source. That is ours to log. If you then need a sentence on a URL, that is citation work. If you need press that does not exist, that is Digital PR.
AI search needs a question a buyer would ask. Forcing the brand into the prompt is not a find. We do not sell Overview presence.
We check whether a URL sat next to the name. How the name is spelled is another URL.
Digital PR owns the newsroom. This page owns mentions that already happen.
Schema
JSON-LD helps a machine read a name the page already states. This work can flag mentions that attach a URL whose markup describes someone else. It is not a schema campaign as the whole job.
If schema is the only place the brand exists, a model may name you from memory and attach nothing. We name that gap. We do not stuff sameAs to chase a footnote.
We refuse fake Review blocks that exist only to host brand strings. A real claim belongs in the body and on citation work.
Markup will not force generative search to cite you. Eligibility of a cite is a different object.
Who we work with
Someone has to refuse vanity prompts. We work with that person. We do not replace them with a second mention retainer.
Keeps the list honest. Holds the line when a campaign wants the brand pasted into every prompt.
Can add a fetchable claim when a row needs citation work. They do not need to become journalists.
Can take rows that need coverage. If they try to run this as link building, two jobs collide. Links stay on that URL.
Questions
The brand appears in an assistant answer with no source attached, or with a source that does not belong. A citation is a claim attributed to a fetchable URL. This page finds empty or wrong attaches. Making a sentence eligible to be cited belongs on AI citation optimization.
No. We sample questions buyers ask across assistants, not one product's chat UI. A ChatGPT-only cleanup is not the program. If one product's source UI is the whole question, that lives on that product's child page.
No. Digital PR owns new editorial coverage as a program. This page hunts mentions that already happen in assistant answers. We will not run a newsroom from a mention ticket.
No. Brand visibility checks how assistants speak the official name and aliases. This page checks whether the name appears without a cite, or with the wrong attach. A retired name that is still clearly attributed is the brand page. A correct name with nothing to fetch is this page.
No. Cleaner attribution can help later. This work does not buy a place in Google AI Overviews (AIO), a mention quota, or a citation package. If you need the claim itself to be citable, open AI citation optimization.
Name without an honest source
Attach a mention screenshot, the official name, and the buyer question that produced it. We will say if the mention is unlinked, wrongly attached, a name-line problem, or a job for new coverage.
Log, label, next, rerun. Not a cite eligibility desk.
