Microsoft Ads

Microsoft Ads to Adapt an Import for the Bing Query Mix

Microsoft Advertising is its own account: Bing and the Microsoft network, a query mix that is not a Google copy, and UET as the conversion stack. Import from Google is a draft. We adapt it. We do not call the import a strategy. We do not reprint Quality Score. We do not write how Bing ranks organic pages.

Next step

Review this Microsoft Ads account

Tell us the site and the bottleneck. We reply with next steps, not a generic deck.

  • Record the import
  • Mine the Bing mix
  • Wire UET
  • Clock Bing spend

Google Ads holds Quality Score and Google conversion actions. Search ads hold match and RSA as a format on either network. B2B PPC holds which sales stage is the object. PPC management holds the weekly cadence after this account exists. This URL owns this Microsoft account: import hygiene, distinct query mix, UET, and pace on this network.

We will not sell a twin of the Google account as a Microsoft program. We will not treat LinkedIn Campaign Manager as this H1. We will not put a Google tag in the UET slot and call tracking done. If the hub already marked Microsoft out of scope, this page does not force a second account. If the hub left it in, import is still not the strategy.

When this fits

When the Microsoft account is still last week Google export

This page fits when Microsoft Advertising is in the program and the missing object is this account: import hygiene, distinct queries, UET, pace. If you needed Quality Score, a pipeline stage, or format ops only, start there instead.

Campaigns were imported and never adapted

Headlines still name Google-only proofs. Negatives still miss Bing query mix. We treat the import as a draft. We do not celebrate the upload.

UET is missing or firing the Google conversion

Microsoft cannot train on a Google-only thank-you. We name the UET events you will stand behind. A duplicated Google tag is a defect.

B2B wants LinkedIn-ish layers inside Microsoft

Company and job layers in Microsoft Advertising can be useful. They are not LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Pipeline definition still lives on B2B PPC.

Bing spend is unpaced because Google got the attention

This network still needs a pace rule. PPC management can run the week after this account is named. Pace on Microsoft starts here as an account object.

Process

Record the import. Mine the Bing mix. Wire UET. Clock Bing spend.

Four Microsoft jobs in this order. We do not start a Quality Score pass in the last step. The point is a Microsoft account that is not a Google clone.

  1. Record the import

We record what was imported from Google Ads and what was built native. Search intent on Microsoft ad copy is read from live Microsoft ads, not from the Google editor. Keyword targeting is the query list you will buy on Bing and partners. An import log is not a strategy memo.

Outcome An import note: what arrived, what must be rewritten, what should never have been copied.

  2. Mine the Bing mix

We mine Microsoft search terms for queries Google barely sees. Topical relevance of Microsoft ads to the landing is the test. Keyword density copied from Google RSAs is not a metric and not a Microsoft score. Semantic keywords that only show on Bing get a list. LinkedIn-ish layers are named if they belong. Campaign Manager stays out.

Outcome A distinct query and audience note for this network.

  3. Wire UET

We list Universal Event Tracking events, which are goals, and whether they match the conversion you will stand behind. Google conversion actions stay on Google Ads. Entity names in landing copy belong in schema and AI work. A missing UET tag is a stop, not a bid tweak.

Outcome A UET list Microsoft may train on, including gaps.

  4. Clock Bing spend

We set how Microsoft spend is checked inside the period. This network is easy to ignore when Google is loud. We do not pace to a promised return. Ops cadence after the account exists can hand to PPC management.

Outcome A Microsoft pacing rule, plus a handoff to weekly ops if that retainer exists.

Deliverables

What the Microsoft Ads owner can keep after we leave

You leave with an import note, a distinct query mix, a UET list, and a pace rule. You do not leave with a Quality Score reprint, a Campaign Manager plan, or a clone of Google Ads.

Import note

What came from Google, what was rewritten, what was never imported. Dated. Last quarter upload is not this note.

Distinct mix

Queries and LinkedIn-ish layers that belong on this network. Google-only proofs are listed as rewrite work.

UET list

Events Microsoft may train on. Google conversion actions are named as out of scope for this stack.

Pace rule

How Microsoft spend is checked when Google is louder. A forgotten Bing budget is named if that is the habit.

Out-of-scope lines

Quality Score, Campaign Manager, and Search-format depth point at their pages. This account does not swallow them.

Benefits

What a Google import cannot finish

The draft is named as a draft

Import stops being the strategy. Rewrites have an owner.

Bing-heavy queries get a list

You buy terms this network actually shows. You do not paste the Google planner.

Microsoft trains on UET

Google tags stop pretending they are Microsoft conversion tracking.

This network has a pace rule

Spend is not leftover attention after Google. Finance can see Bing as its own line.

Methodology

Who can edit UET and refuse an untouched import

This works when someone can grant Microsoft Ads access and someone can change UET. If both are missing, we are staring at a Google export. We are not holding this network.

We start with the Microsoft account number, the import history, and UET status. If any of those is missing, we name it first.

We fetch live Microsoft ads and landings. We do not trust the Google Ads editor. Does search intent on the Microsoft ad match the landing? Are the queries you will buy actually showing on this network?

You may rename the roles below. You may not leave UET implied. An implied Google tag is how Microsoft trains on the wrong event.

  1. Microsoft Ads lead SEOConsultants.ai writes the import note, the distinct mix, the UET list, and the pace rule. We do not become your Google Ads team because the import was messy.
  2. Whoever can grant Microsoft access Adds users and can pause an untouched import. A locked Microsoft login is a finding.
  3. Whoever owns UET Can publish the tag and the goals. They do not need to run Campaign Manager.
  4. Whoever owns B2B definition Confirms if LinkedIn-ish layers belong. Pipeline as the object still lives on B2B PPC.
  5. Leadership Accepts that Microsoft is optional when the hub said so, and required as its own account when the hub left it in. A Google clone would be a failure of this page.

First working session

Start with the import date and the UET tag

The first hour is whether Microsoft campaigns are still a Google dump, plus whether UET fires. It is not a Quality Score tour.

We open Microsoft Ads. We ask when Google campaigns were imported and what was rewritten. If nothing was rewritten, that is the job. If the real question is Quality Score, that is Google Ads. If the real question is pipeline stage, that is B2B PPC. If the real question is RSA pinning on Bing, that is Search ads.

Then we check UET and a sample of Microsoft search terms. We compare those terms to the Google list. The extra Bing queries and the missing UET events are usually the job. A successful import wizard is not evidence of a Microsoft program.

We leave with a first import note or a stop. A list names what to rewrite, the UET gaps, and the pace rule. A stop names what is missing: access, a hub decision that Microsoft is out, or a job that is actually Google Ads. Both are outcomes. A clone checklist is not.

AI search

A UET goal is not an AI Overview

Honest Microsoft ads and landings can help later extraction. This page cannot sell AI Overviews, a chat mention, or LLM visibility as a score.

A second search network will not land the brand in Google AI Overviews (AIO). If Microsoft ads still recite Google-only claims, generative search has a messy offer to lift. That is ours to tidy as network hygiene. If the live pages already tell the truth and models still invent a Bing-only product, that is an AI search audit. A program across search UIs is AI SEO.

The landing has to print the Microsoft ad claim

AI search needs a page it can fetch. An imported Google RSA that never got rewritten does not help. We do not sell Overview presence.

Offer names should match on this network too

We check names in the live landing next to Microsoft ads. That is entity optimization as a network input. It is not a Knowledge Graph project from this page.

Measuring model answers is another URL

LLM visibility needs a sentence a model can quote, then measurement on LLM SEO. A UET list can show what Microsoft trains on. It does not sample answers.

Schema

Markup on the landing is shared. UET is not.

JSON-LD helps a machine read an offer the landing already states. This work can flag a mismatch with Microsoft ads. It is not a schema campaign as the whole job.

The name in markup must match the Microsoft headline

If schema says one offer and the imported Google headline says another, extractors guess. We name the mismatch. We do not stuff types to chase Bing clicks.

No fake FAQ to host Google-only terms

Keyword targeting on this page is the Bing mix you will buy. FAQ schema is not a Google planner paste.

Extra fields do not buy a citation

Markup will not force generative search to cite the landing. Eligibility is not a purchased mention.

Who we work with

The person who can refuse an untouched Google import

Someone has to own UET. We work with that person. We do not replace them with a second Google Ads login.

Microsoft Ads access owner

Grants access, pauses untouched imports, rechecks after a Google re-import.

UET owner

Publishes events Microsoft may train on. Holds the line when someone wants the Google tag to stand in.

Whoever already runs Google Ads

Can keep going on Google. If they try to run this as Quality Score, two jobs collide. Quality Score belongs on Google Ads.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Why not only import Google campaigns into Microsoft Ads?

Import is a draft. Copy, negatives, bids, and UET must be adapted or Microsoft trains on the wrong events. A Google Quality Score note does not travel. Calling the import a Microsoft program is the failure this page exists to stop.

What is UET on this page?

Universal Event Tracking is the Microsoft conversion stack. Google conversion actions stay on Google Ads. A Google tag firing on Bing clicks is the wrong object. We will not report Microsoft spend against a Google-only thank-you.

Is this a twin of the Google Ads page?

No. Quality Score, Google conversion actions, and campaign types inside Google live there. This URL owns Bing and partner inventory, this account query mix, and UET. Pasting the Google paragraph here would be a twin. We refuse that.

Do you write Microsoft as a ranking engine essay?

No. This is an ad account on the Microsoft network, not an essay on how Bing ranks organic results. Organic work stays on SEO. Paid query mix on Bing stays here.

Is LinkedIn profile targeting the LinkedIn Ads product?

No. This page can name LinkedIn-ish profile layers inside Microsoft Advertising. LinkedIn Campaign Manager is not this H1. B2B pipeline stages as the optimization object still live on B2B PPC.

Will a Microsoft Ads account get us into AI Overviews?

No. Honest UET events and landings can help later extraction. This work does not buy a place in Google AI Overviews (AIO), a generative-search mention, or an LLM visibility score. If models invent a Bing-only offer, that measurement sits on an AI search audit and on LLM SEO.

What do you need to open the Microsoft account?

The Microsoft Ads account number, whether UET is firing, and whether live campaigns are still an untouched Google import. A Bing homepage walkthrough is not enough.

This Microsoft Advertising account

Is the live Microsoft account still an untouched Google import?

Share the Microsoft Ads account number, whether UET is firing, and the last import date if you have one. We will say if this network pass fits, or whether Google Ads, B2B PPC, or Search format should go first.

  1. Import treated as a draft
  2. Bing query mix named
  3. UET events you will stand behind
  4. No Quality Score reprint

Import draft, Bing mix, UET, Bing clock. Not a Google clone.
