App Store Connect OS
Apple App Store optimization is App Store Connect: the keyword field, subtitle, promotional text versus version-locked title, and Custom Product Pages. It is not Play description indexing or listing experiments on /aseo/google-play-optimization/, and it is not the both-store calendar on /aseo/app-store-optimization/.

Delivery sequence
App Store Connect is the object — not Play Console.
100-character keyword field: commas, no title repeats — a field, not query research.
Title versus subtitle versus promotional text: version-locked versus live-editable.
Custom Product Pages versus the default product page — pages, not screenshot art.
Apple Search Ads relevance as a side effect; campaign structure stays on PPC.
Connect objects. Not Play description indexing. Not Play store listing experiments.
Journey map only. No rankings, traffic, or results claims.
Split
ASO maps whether Apple work is in the program. Google Play optimization owns description indexing and Play experiments. App title optimization writes the visible name. This page owns **App Store Connect**: the keyword field as a constraint, subtitle versus promo versus version-locked title, and Custom Product Pages.

Scope
Apple App Store optimization is App Store Connect work: the 100-character keyword field as a packing constraint, which strings need a new version versus which can change live, and Custom Product Pages versus the default product page. It is not Play description indexing and not Play store listing experiments.
Connect is a different object from Play Console. Metadata that looks similar in a slide deck (title, screenshots) is not similar in gates. This H1 is the Apple form. Both-store ASO only sequences when this form shares a window with Play.
The ASO hub still owns whether iOS is in the program. App keyword research still produces the query list. This page **packs the field** and names Connect cadence. It does not discover the list.
App title optimization owns the visible name as a title decision. This page owns when that title is **version-locked in Connect** and how it interacts with subtitle, promotional text, and the hidden field.
We will not invent App Store rank products, conversion-lift percentages, or a ratings-average target. Connect analytics are read as Connect reports them.
Field
Apple’s keyword field is a hidden, comma-separated string with a hard character budget. Repeating words already in the title wastes the budget. Spaces after commas waste the budget. This is **field packing**, not “how we found the queries.”
Research refusals (the binary does not do that job) still come from the keyword-research child. Connect will not be used to stuff competitor trademarks against Apple’s rules. We will not print a “15–30 keywords” SKU; the budget is characters, not a term count product.
App metadata optimization decides which researched term belongs in title versus subtitle versus this field versus nowhere. This page implements the **Apple field** once allocation is named.
Localization of the keyword field is a per-storefront Connect object. Dual-console ship lists do not pack the string.
Cadence
Some Connect strings ride a version. Others can change without a binary. Operators who treat “iOS metadata” as one editable blob will ship the wrong gate. This spine names **which object waits**.
Promotional text is a short-lived Connect copy object. What’s New is also copy, with description-child depth for the prose. This page owns the **cadence**: when promo can rotate, when title cannot.
Subtitle is not Play short description. It is an Apple visible string with Apple limits. Allocation still sits with metadata; Connect cadence sits here.
If the app team will not ship a version, title and keyword-field work wait. We will not pretend promotional text is a substitute for a locked title.
Pages
Custom Product Pages are extra product pages in Connect, addressable for specific journeys (including paid). They are **pages**, not a screenshot storyboard. Frame art stays on screenshot optimization. Whether a CPP is a test vehicle sits with app conversion optimization; this page owns the Connect object.
The default product page remains the organic store-search listing. CPP does not replace default metadata. Play custom store listings are not CPP; do not import Play experiment language onto this H2.
Deep links to a CPP from a campaign are a Connect plus ads-adjacent fact. Campaign structure is still PPC.
Ads
Metadata and CPP can affect whether Search Ads consider the product page relevant. That is a **side effect** named in one block. Account structure, bids, and Search Ads campaign types stay on frozen PPC. There is no Apple Search Ads child URL on this site.
We will not promise lower paid CPI from packing the keyword field. We will not reprint Google Ads Quality Score language onto Connect.
If the buyer only wants Search Ads, they are in the wrong room. If they want Connect listing objects, they are here.
Field notes
App Privacy and nutrition-label questionnaires are Connect compliance, not Play data-safety copy-paste.
Age rating in Connect is an Apple questionnaire. Play content rating is a different form.
SKU and bundle ID are Connect identity objects. They are not Play package names, though both must stay stable.
Phased release versus Play staged rollout: name the Apple control here; do not merge the UIs.
App Review notes that explain metadata changes are Connect reviewer communication, not Play policy center.
We will not index Play full description tactics into the keyword field. Different association model.
Promotional text character budget is an Apple constraint, not a Play short-description synonym.
What’s New can mention a feature only if that binary ships it. Honesty is shared; the field is Connect.
In-app events, when used, are Connect surfaces. They are not Play promotional modules.
Product page optimization experiments Apple may offer are Connect vehicles, not Play store listing experiments.
Localization of keyword field per App Store territory is a Connect grid, not a Play translated-listing table.
TestFlight metadata is not the public product page. Mixing them is a Connect hygiene failure.
Category primary and secondary in Connect are Apple category objects. Dual-console category alignment is both-store ops.
If the app is Android-only, this page is the wrong door. Open Play.
Screenshot device classes (iPhone, iPad) are Connect slots; storyboards stay on the screenshot child.
We will not treat “subtitle” as the place to dump leftover keyword-field tokens without an allocation decision.
Depth
The App Store Connect keyword field is the object of this page: the comma-separated, 100-character-class box on Connect that shoppers never see. It is not Play description indexing. It is not the dual-console calendar. Hidden terms that exist only on Apple belong here as the App Store Connect keyword field.
Subtitle versus the App Store Connect keyword field is a Connect split, not a Play short-description reprint. The subtitle is visible. The App Store Connect keyword field is not. We refuse stuffing the same token into title, subtitle, and the App Store Connect keyword field as if duplication were a product. Character limits are constraints, not a ranking SKU.
Localization of the App Store Connect keyword field is per App Store locale you actually staff. Empty locales are not “optimized.” App keyword research supplies the query inventory those locales may honestly match. The App Store Connect keyword field only receives terms after that inventory exists.
Custom Product Pages sit beside the App Store Connect keyword field as Connect-native surfaces. They are not Play custom store listings. Google Play optimization keeps Play experiments. CPP copy and creative still must not contradict the App Store Connect keyword field’s job, but CPP is not a second keyword-field treatise.
Promotional text cadence versus a version-locked title is Connect metadata around the App Store Connect keyword field, not a Play 4000-character essay. App description optimization writes promotional text and What’s New as copy objects. This page owns that those objects live in Connect next to the App Store Connect keyword field.
The dual-console calendar does not own the App Store Connect keyword field. App store optimization sequences both stores. When Apple review freezes the binary, the App Store Connect keyword field may or may not be editable depending on Apple’s current rules. We name the freeze; we do not invent a review-day product.
ASO already decided whether Apple is in the program. The App Store Connect keyword field implements Connect after that door. It does not reprint the hub’s family chooser. Optional Apple coverage is not a reason to write Play Console experiments on this URL.
Competitor names in the App Store Connect keyword field are a policy conversation, not a default pack. Trademark risk is not legal advice as a product. If a competitor token stays, the binary must still honestly match that job. The field is not a place to hide claims the listing cannot keep.
The App Store Connect keyword field does not storyboard screenshots. Preview video and icon sequence are creative assets. Screenshot optimization owns those assets. Connect still hosts the upload. This URL only refuses to treat screenshot captions as a substitute for the App Store Connect keyword field.
Visible title writing is not the App Store Connect keyword field. App title optimization owns the visible name. Terms already in the title generally should not be wasted again in the App Store Connect keyword field. That is field hygiene on Connect, not a title-formula essay.
Field allocation OS decides whether a researched term belongs in the App Store Connect keyword field versus subtitle. App metadata optimization is that OS. This page implements the Apple box after allocation. It does not discover the store query inventory from scratch.
Impression-to-install protocol is not the App Store Connect keyword field. Product Page Optimization, where Apple offers it, is a conversion-sibling conversation about splits, not about hidden commas. App conversion optimization owns when to test. This page names Connect surfaces without stealing the funnel protocol.
In-app review prompt APIs are not the App Store Connect keyword field. SKStoreReviewController is ratings ops. App ratings and reviews own prompts and public replies. We will not buy reviews to “support” keywords in the App Store Connect keyword field.
Apple Search Ads is refused as a minted job on the App Store Connect keyword field page. Paid iOS demand, when it exists, is a frozen PPC conversation sequenced on mobile app growth. The App Store Connect keyword field stays organic listing metadata on Connect.
The App Store Connect keyword field has no invented rank, paid-install floor, or keyword-count SKU. The deliverable is a Connect listing where the hidden field, subtitle, CPP, and version-lock rules are named as Apple objects, with Play description indexing left on the Play child and ASO left as the program map.
