Store creative assets
Screenshot and creative optimization is the asset job: icon, screenshot sequence, preview, and Play feature graphic that show the shipped app. It is not impression-to-install experiment protocol on /aseo/app-conversion-optimization/, not ratings prompts on /aseo/app-ratings-reviews/, and not metadata fields on /aseo/app-metadata-optimization/.
Related page: ASO program.
Delivery sequence
Opening frames show the job, not a login wall or empty chrome.
Sequence the job. Do not dump every feature as equal slides.
Preview video shows a tap in the app, not a brand film.
Icon is grid recognition. Change it only while the brand still holds.
Phone, tablet, and locale packs are separate asset sets. Feature graphic is a Play asset, not Play Console OS.
Icon, frames, preview, Play feature graphic as assets. Job in the first frames. Not CVR protocol. Not ratings prompts.
Journey map only. No rankings, traffic, or results claims.
Split
App conversion optimization owns **impression → product page → install** tests and when not to test. Google Play optimization owns **Play Console** forms, including experiments as vehicles. Apple App Store optimization owns **Connect**, including Custom Product Pages as pages. The ASO hub flags creatives as a family. This page owns the **assets**: icon, screenshot sequence, preview, Play feature graphic.

First frames
Screenshot optimization is **store creative production**. The first frames must show the job the metadata promised. Login chrome, permission dialogs, and empty states are not the opening story unless that **is** the job.
A conversion child may later **test** which frame order wins. It does not draw the frames. This URL storyboards and exports the assets.
The ASO hub already said creatives convert impressions. This page does not reprint Store demand → Metadata → Creatives. It makes the files.
We will not invent a screenshot-lift percentage. Pixel specs are constraints, not a ranking SKU.
Storyboard
Equal-weight feature dumps train shoppers to skim past the job. Order frames as a short path: job, proof, next step inside the app.
Caption text on frames is part of the asset. It is not Play full description and not Apple promotional copy — those sentences stay on app description optimization.
Custom Product Pages may need a **second storyboard**. The page object lives on the Apple child; the pixels live here.
Preview tap
A brand film that never shows the UI is a missed store preview. Show a thumb doing the job the title named.
Audio language follows staffed storefronts. We will not ship a voiceover locale you cannot support in reviews.
Web hero videos and SMO cuts are not automatically store previews. Recrop is an asset decision here, not SMO channel SEO.
Icon grid
An icon change is a recognition event. We change it when the brand still holds at small size, not because a template asked for a weekly glyph test.
Star-rating badges baked into the icon are not this job. Prompt timing stays on app ratings. Overlay stars as “ASO” are a refuse.
Sets
Phone and tablet are different crops. Shipping iPhone frames on iPad is an asset miss we will name. Wear or TV packs exist only if those binaries ship.
Locale sets are creative packs, not the metadata occupancy OS on app metadata.
Play feature graphic is a Play **asset** with its own crop. Play Console experiment wiring stays on Google Play optimization.
Field notes
Device bezels and fake “notch” chrome are style choices. Lying about OS version in a frame is an honesty miss.
Before/after UI that the binary does not ship is the same lie as unshipped description features.
Localized screenshots that leave English chrome in buttons are a set defect, not a translation SKU on this page.
App preview poster frames should match the first screenshot job, not a disconnected lifestyle still.
We will not reuse paid web banners from PPC as store frames without a store crop pass.
Web screenshot pages for SEO docs are not App Store asset sets.
GBP photo dumps are Maps objects. Refusal: Google Business Profile.
Listing experiment **vehicles** (Play experiments, Apple CPP as tests) stay on conversion. We supply variants; we do not write the stop-rules.
Keyword-field packing cannot be solved with more screenshots. Inventory stays on keyword research.
Title string length is not a crop guide. Visible name stays on app title.
We will not claim a featured-story placement as a creative product.
Dark-mode versus light-mode sets are assets when the binary actually themes. Fake dark frames are honesty fails.
Privacy nutrition labels are Connect chrome, not screenshot H1. Apple OS stays on the Apple child.
LLM-generated UI mockups that do not match the binary are refused. `/llm-seo/` stays parked.
Referral QR codes in frame six are a growth lever, not default storyboard filler.
Store pixel dimensions are constraints. We will not sell a “required 10 screenshots” package if five tell the job.
Depth
Screenshot storyboard assets are the object of this page: icon, screenshot sequence, preview video, and Play feature graphic as files with a narrative order. They are not a funnel experiment protocol. They are not ratings prompts. Screenshot storyboard assets are the art the stores render.
First-frame job on screenshot storyboard assets is whether a shopper understands the product before they swipe. That is storyboard craft, not a conversion-percentage claim. App conversion optimization owns impression-to-install protocol and when not to test. This URL boards the frames those tests may later use.
Icon as a screenshot storyboard asset is the smallest store-creative object. It must still match the visible name’s job without becoming a title treatise. App title optimization writes the string. The icon lockup is a screenshot storyboard asset even when it is not a screenshot.
Preview video inside screenshot storyboard assets is timed demonstration, not YouTube ads. Paid video units stay on frozen PPC when that is the paid job. Store preview is a listing file. We will not specify a second-count as a productized SKU. We will say the preview is a screenshot storyboard asset.
Play feature graphic is a screenshot storyboard asset on Android surfaces that show it. Google Play optimization hosts Play Console experiments that may include that graphic. Composition of the graphic as art stays here. Play’s experiment form stays on Play.
Apple preview and iPhone/iPad sequences are screenshot storyboard assets on Connect. Apple App Store optimization owns the keyword field and CPP as Connect OS. CPP may reuse screenshot storyboard assets. Reuse is not a keyword-field essay and not a dual-console calendar.
ASO already put creatives in the program. Screenshot storyboard assets implement the files after that family is in scope. They do not reprint the hub’s ecosystem map or the metadata OS. Coverage stays on the parent. Frames, icon, preview, and the Play feature graphic stay here as screenshot storyboard assets.
The dual-console calendar may wait screenshot storyboard assets on a binary that has not shipped. App store optimization names that wait as a both-store engagement rule. Storyboarding still happens on this URL before the calendar ships. Waiting is not a reason to skip the screenshot storyboard assets.
Captions on screenshot storyboard assets are overlay copy on frames, not Play/Apple listing copy objects. App description optimization writes store body text. A caption may echo a sentence. The caption is still a screenshot storyboard asset. Body paragraphs stay on the description child.
Field allocation OS does not place terms onto screenshot storyboard assets as if frames were metadata fields. App metadata optimization maps title, subtitle, keyword field, short, and long. Overlay stuffing is a creative finding we refuse, not an OS reprint.
Store query inventory may name the job a frame should depict. App keyword research remains the honest-match list by locale. Screenshot storyboard assets illustrate jobs from that list. They do not discover queries by drawing them, and they do not become a second research spreadsheet.
Star overlays and fake review callouts on screenshot storyboard assets are refused. Ratings ops live on app ratings and reviews. In-app review prompt APIs are not a storyboard. We will not paint a rating average we did not earn onto frame one.
Device crops, localization of frames, and dark-mode variants are still screenshot storyboard assets. Unstaffed locales do not get placeholder screenshots with English lies. Mobile app growth may sequence creative production against paid UA later. Production of the store files stays here.
Web hero photography is not a screenshot storyboard asset. SEO pages may show the app; that is a document image with its own alt and layout job. Store creatives must meet console specs for icon, frames, and preview. Handoff is one sentence. This URL does not become a brand-film treatment.
Screenshot storyboard assets have no invented listing-conversion claim, paid-install floor, or category rank. The deliverable is a boarded sequence: icon, frames, preview, and Play feature graphic that match the honest job, with experiment protocol, metadata OS, and ratings APIs left on their siblings.
